Ten Pointless Facts About Me

I stumbled upon David's post of the same name and thought it looked like a fun and quite different set of prompts, so I thought I'd share my answers!

Do you floss your teeth?

I probably should but admittedly don't. I brush every day, sometimes twice a day, but I've never flossed.

Fun fact: I was terrified of dentists for years because of Steve Martin's character from Little Shop of Horrors and because my childhood dentist was not great, but now I don't mind so much. I'm lucky to have pretty good teeth, so I haven't had to deal with many cavities and such.

Tea, coffee, or water?

Coffee, of course! I love it so much I have a slash page dedicated to it. I'm not much of a tea person unless it's boba, but even then, my flavor of choice is coffee milk tea. I love water and try to drink a good amount of it throughout the day, but it has to be cold.

Footwear preference?

Right now, I'm wearing a thick pair of socks. In warmer months, I usually go barefoot around the house.

When I go out, I often default to my pair of Blowfish Malibu canvas high-top sneakers simply because they're the most comfortable shoes I own. If I'm dressing up or coordinating an outfit for a special occasion, I'll find another pair to wear, but most of the time I dress for comfort.

Favourite dessert?

I'm a bit boring and love a classic yellow cake with chocolate frosting.

The first thing you do when you wake up?

Feed Ranni. She wakes me up every morning at 6:00am for breakfast. I have a coffee mug that reads "I'm only a morning person for my dog." 😄

Age you'd like to stick to?

My 30s have absolutely been my best years. I'd probably age myself down a little, maybe 33 or 34, but I'm definitely sticking with this decade of my life.

How many hats do you own?

Describe the last photo you took

We keep our artificial tree up year-round and decorate it for different seasons and holidays. Right now, it's decorated for Valentine's Day, and I took a photo of it to show my mom.

Worst TV show

I caught an episode of King of Queens once and hated every minute of it. It's about a horrible, selfish husband who constantly puts himself in situations that end in an argument between him and his wife. I don't get the appeal.

As a child, what was your aspiration for adulthood?

I wanted to be a paleontologist or geologist. I was obsessed with Jurassic Park and collecting rocks and crystals. I still love geology and read up on it whenever I can. I ended up becoming an accountant, which is much less interesting, but I'm okay with it.
